All we need in this country is JJ Rawlings style in Ghana, kill all the OBJ, Anenih, JP Clark, PDP excecutives etc, everyone would sit up! Then we can conduct new elections. Nobody wants to die. Their would be sanity in the polity. These old men are our problem, nor Jonathan. He is just a pawn. We need a nutcase fast to fix our problems and then conduct new elections.

  30. Stop blaming GEJ for our failures. He did not ask for all these tragedies

  31. Hmm, I was thinking of relocating back home but in light of the recent events and lack of emergency response, I'm staying put. What about those that do not have a choice and have to live under substandard conditions? As my dad would say, people die by chance but Nigerians live by chance. May God help Nigeria *weep*

  33. LET US BE HONEST TO OURSELVES, 97% OF NIGERIANS ARE CORRUPT!

At the Intnl Airports, the Immigration will search ur bag and ask for bribe for u to take ur dried fish/crayfish, to travel.
U want to get ur Transcript, they collect bribe.
    Lecturer collect Bribe.
    Police Collect Bribe.
Gateman collect bribe before e go tell u weda oga/madam dey house.

Civil Servant go collect bribe before u go go see oga, before dem go sign paper, before dem go deliver message.

Only very very few pple are exempted from this BRIBERY and CORRUPTION and that is based on SELF IMPOSED DISCIPLINE.

So the Whole nation needs help, not only GEJ/PDP and the people in power.

If you remove GEJ and place an average Nigerian on that Seat, he/she will do worse. So I think Hypocrisy is also part of the game since everybody is innocent until proven guilty.

    Adaeze.

  43. I just hope what I just read about his wife's high-handedness indirectly causing the crash is not true!

Shutting the airspace because of the Presidential Jet for two hours while the distressed plane couldn't land? I just hope it's not true. Hmmmn, he has not started crying...

    ReplyDelete
  44. please let dis man be...there is no one that wont be moved to tears by this.He might have done somethings we didnt approve of but that does not make him less human.FATHER LORD,PLS GIVE THE FAMILIES THE STRENGHT TO GO ON AND MAY THIS BEAUTIFUL SOULS REST IN UR BOSOM...AMEN

  45. rightly fully so.. in Nigeria its always medicine after death,, if the guy that boarded the plane on the 23rd had mad noise, this could have bn prevented,, infact he is the real killer 4 not coming out to speak,, and even the air Nigeria ex director who is just coming out to say air nigeria is a flying coffin,, why is it now that they are all coming out.

and quite frankly i dont think a sane pilot would have flown a plane he didnt certify ok,, and also i understand the flight engineer who had serviced the plane last was on that flight would have boarded.. cps really at the point where a pilot takes over a plane he is in charge and whatever he wants to do is final.. and once again i don't think in an emergency Dame or no Dame that if he needed to land the plane knowing that his own life too was in danger trust me that guy would have landed that plane,,

but nontheless my heart is heavy and feel so much for the families.. i lost a cousin too in this crash.

and the amount of corruption in the aviation industry is appalingand needs to be addressed, and we as a people need ot check our selves too ,, and start to speakout and be pro-active

  46. Ladun's biggest fan06 June, 2012 10:13

Anon 04 June, 2012 22:54; on my way to work this morning, i heard a lady from Liverpool call into BBC Radio 5 to say her sister was on that flight. But she's not listed. There are also some names on that flight that didn't travel and they have been listed as dead because some other people used their tickets.

How will this lady sort this out? Why will you allow people use other people's tickets.

IMO there are so many other places that are better than Nigeria. Even Ghana is better than Nigeria. We can couch it how we want but Nigeria is messed up. Simple things, we can't get right.

Why is the Aviation Minister still in a job? As the supervising authority in that Ministry, she should resign. The basic reason is, if underhand business has gone on without her knowledge then she's a "dumme" who's just there to line her pocket.

Governor Akpabio has said he warned Dana Air. He's complicit in not using his authority to rein them in. Oh, i forget he travels via a private jet. The truth of the matter is that these are the people who need to die for Nigeria to get better.

The poor souls of Ehime, Ike, Ijay, Adiza, Patrick, Ngozi, Adaobi, Maimuna, Dunni, Ayoola, all the lovely children and beautiful people who perished in that plane will add to the statistics on Nigerian air disaster history. Totally sad. So many families are in pain. Whether GEJ cried or not, i don't give a damn. I'm concerned about those grieving now.

Fatimah; it's simply not true. In a May Day situation, a plane takes precedence over any other plane be it Presidential or commercial.
