My math teacher tried to molest me in primary 5 (1990) telling me he will buy me present , when I got home I told my mum straight away. She came to school next morning and rained curses and insisted that the teacher be fired .
The Math teacher was a friend to the Headmaster , so he denied attempting any molestation and they covered it . my mum changed my school immediately …..
I was the lucky one, sadly 3 years later , I heard he took 2 primary 3 ( 8year old) children and raped them . The parents found out because their children were bleeding , they made sure he was arrested and put in jail for many years . It was a sad story but could have been avoided if the headmaster wasn’t a fool . (God knows how many more he touched that didnt come out)

There are pointers that this happened in a classroom-like environment: the classroom-like chairs and desks,and girl's uniform and school bag suggest she's a student (most probably secondary school). However, nothing in the picture suggests the man is a teacher. While this does justify or defend a teacher committing such atrocity, it is a check against hasty generalization.

This is repugnant! Morally speaking, I shudder at this unethical deplorable attitude demonstrated by these untamed "DOGS". The issue is not to judge the teacher or the girl in isolation. This has to be addressed holistically in the sense that, will you agree with me that there was a consensus between the two characters? the mood shows clearly it was their joint decision. so without being sentimental, the two of them agreeably went into it and in the light of this, they are supposed to be punished together. Another point is just that, because of the position of the teacher and age disparity, it will be considered more incriminating on his side than that of the student.
ReplyDeleteI served in a village in the Eastern part of Nigeria about 5 years ago and that experience cured me of my previous assumption that village girls were typically innocent. Most of the girls in that village were sexually active from age 12. We, female corp members had a hard time chasing them away from the corpers lodge. They were practically queuing up for sex with the 3 male corp members. They even started jumping in and out from the guys' rooms through the windows.
