No wonder they call him the 'Don'. Eldee announced yesterday on twitter that Don jazzy has handed over his NEA 2012 best producer award too Sarz who is also a music producer under Eldee's record label. Remember last year when he got nominated at the Headies, the Don also said he believed he shouldn't have been nominated at all and he thinks Samklef deserves the best producer that year. Selflessness and humility of a true leader.

ReplyDeleteWhile this gesture seems nice I think that this "humility" thing is kind of annoying. Don Jazzy is just unrefined. There comes a time when humility starts to look and feel insulting. Isn't he appreciative of the fact that he was honored? You can share your blessing in so many ways. You can honor your peers but in a respectful way. I find it unprofessional, uncalled for, and disrespectful to the people who voted him as the winner of the award. I'm starting to really see that D'Banj was a main force behind the success of MoHits. Don Jazzy is very talented but he is laid back and I think that can become uninspiring when it comes to business. D'Banj decided to try a different market. There's no competition and the Nigerian market is uninspiring. Don Jazzy seems too comfortable being where he is.
