SHOCKER: Nollywood US-Based Actor Exposes Aluu Community the More... Narrates His Near Death Experience

US-based Nigerian actor and movie producer, Pascal Atuma has accused villagers of Aluu community of being hostile to students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT). Atuma stated that the community has never liked the students.

He alleged that the incident of the Aluu brutal killing of four UNIPORT students recently didn't start today but a long time ago. Atuma made this known through his Facebook wall. He gave his near death experience while a Student Union Chairman of Nelson Mandela Hall ( Choba Campus) in 1995 . Click to continue reading.

"The only people that are surprised with the killing of 4 University of Port-Harcourt students in Nigeria are the people that did not go to school there.

"I attended UNIPORT from 1991-1995. I am not surprised at all or shocked, and I refused to watch the video because it will bring back very bad memories.

"The villagers never ever liked the students, they were very hostile to the students when I was a student there. I remember clearly the students riot of 1995, when the police came in and opened fire on the students, then I was the Students Union Chairman of Nelson Mandela Hall ( Choba Campus).

"They shot one of my hall members (Ebenezar- I remember his name clearly) who was running from class to get back to the hall for safety. As the chairman, I was forced to put my life on the line. I walked out of the hostel, raised my hands in surrender, came out and begged the police to stop shooting.

"They told me to ask the students in my hall to peacefully vacate the hostel in 2 hours or else they will start shooting again.

"I went back in, called all our hall members together and told everyone to vacate asap, and I remember students just running for their lives, I was the last person to leave.

"The school was closed that day, and Ebenezar and one other student who was also shot later died, they didn't make it. I never did go back to UNIPORT again after that day. That was my last taste and memory of the school called University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria.

"Main point of my story is that the killing of students in UNIPORT did not start today, it's been there for a long time now. I am a LIVING WITNESS, I saw it and I lived it!!

"UNIPORT is not a safe place to attend the University in Nigeria, not at all, the history is there, and it will never be. SORRY. May the soul of the four students rest in peace!"

  1. a bit misleading , it is the police that shot and not a member of Aluu community. Arent the two independent .

  3. wether its police or not! the point is that the community hates students and may have transferred theri hatred to the police or visitors who come into the community.nigerians who live around university communities seem to believe that every crime commited in the community was done by a student.its such a myopic way of thinking.i studied in ibadan and one man was robbed around my uni,he brought people to my hostel even though he said he knew the culprits didnt live there,he brought people to beat up and rape the students living there.thankfully our landlord was a bit influential so he was able to lead them away and calm them down.i am not sure i want my kids to school in a country like this.

Hummm are u sure that is possible in ui ??? abeg next time stay on campus, there are lots of places to stay on campus . Queens hall , idia, awo , st anne , amina way, sokoto , d list goes on

  4. How is it that you never went back to Uniport after that day? You didn't graduate? We get your point anyway.

  5. @anonymous his point is the police there do not care for the students ...they really must have a problem with the students to have let those boys be killed like that and do nothing to stop it

  7. What's ur point exactly Mr man? Police shot dem in CHOBA CAMPUS and choba campus is not in aluu!!!if u have nothing to say, just STFU and stop seeking for attention. So it's no longer aluu that's not safe for students but the entire uniport?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Bottom line....Uniport is not a safe university for students to attend.

  9. Okay from the facts above the police in the community did the shotting not the villages now abi? This story does not hold water abeg it should have been titled police brutallity to student of Uni port. #Yawnsinrussia#

  10. Same can be said of every public university in Nigeria. I went to UNN and between cults, police, the villagers, you were bound to get harrased at some point or even worse beat up or killed for some random reason or stray bullet.

My cousin went to Unijos and it was the same there.

    1. Gbam....u r so on point. Its d whole naija that is not safe . What happened in Aluu can happen anywhere , just that some school student union protect their students more. In a matter of minutes the student union in Uniben, Ekpoma or UI would have collected d 4boys from d community..

    2. OOU Ago-iwoye too... My goodness, those villagers hated students while I was there, I don't know about now..
I wonder why indigenes of communities where Universities are located in Nigeria see students as enemies, yet their livelihood depends on these same students.. It just beats me..
Thank God I left that village alive and well.. RIP to those who lost their lives in the 2005 crisis..

  18. One of the commenter said the guys went to ask for payback around 12am and they were with guns. Here is a question for you, where you an eye witness or were you just trying to defend Aluu because you were from there.
4 thieve were caught and instant judgement was brought upon them. Must the Aluu community and the Aluu policemen take laws into their hands? If they were cute thieves as suggested by you why didn’t the policemen arrest and charge them to court. I want to believe that there are more to this.
Because your friend’s girlfriend was raped you are taken your annoyance out on the accused.
If this guys are really thieves then they shall face their second judgement in hell but if truly they are innocent then their soul and spirit shall hunt down everyone that had hands in their demise and their generation and the one yet unborn shall perish without a trace of existence.
The fair of God is the beginning of wisdom and thou shall not judge for you shall not be judged.
Fellow Nigerians we have to think twice and take precaution before we comment those guys are not ant or butterfly they are human being.
I pray that the Almighty have mercy on Nigerian citizens

  20. My focus is on the University, They ought to give accommodation to students. Universities should stop giving numerous admissions without providing a safe place for students, just because their children are abroad does not mean we should not be catered for.

  24. Pls dont Miss lead people. I went to UNIPORT. The riot then if I can remember, occured in MAY as a result of students unrest due to power failure hence No water on campus. I was at Aminu Kano hall-Choba then as a Jambite. Now whats the relationship between that event and the Aluu event? Please be objective next time. UNIPORT just like every Nigerian Public institution has its good side and ugly side. It all depends on individuals perspective. For me, I love seeing the positive side of anything I venture in. I saw the good side of UNIPORT then. RIP ALUU4

  25. The story about 12am and gun was started by the "alleged 5th boy " who was with them and escaped . The police didn't confirm if there was a 5th boy and no statement from bright The police only confirmed that they went to collect debt , however if bright was not found at the time the police confirmed it and the 4 boys are dead. how was the police able to confirm it . My guess is that they confirmed it with the 5th guy then...... but question remains what there a 5th guy ????, if yes then his version of the story was they went by 12am and he had a gun
