Uniport Students Demand Justice For Slain Students
The students of Uniport are no longer finding the death of their colleagues, Tekena, Llyod, Ugonna and Chidiaka. who were killed in Aluu community in Rivers State funny. This morning the students took to the streets, blocked Choba junction to protest the killing of their mates. Alot of security agents are present and are trying to put a stop to the protest. Some of them said, two of the boys were well known on campus as upcoming singers. The four were best of friends before their untimely death. We have also seen few pictures of their parents, they don't even look hungry. Their parents can afford to buy them laptops and phones. They were just new in the community, freshers. None of them was above 22years old. But the Government have taken the matter up. The painful part about this protest right now is about one of playcards a student carried; DEATH SHOW 'Aluu VS Uniport... Aluu 4, UNIPORT 0... 1st half. Please boys, everyone is touched about this. Let us take it easy. Rivers State Government won't fold their hands about this. The whole country is watching. Africa is watching. Thank you.

ReplyDeletegovt will just speak the usual nonsense and the story will die. No be naija? prove me wrong.

ReplyDeleteThis is the worst thing I have "seen" happen in a long time. I did not watch the video(how can I) but I am still shaken. I cannot function, I cannot concentrate. I am sad and ashamed of my heritage. I will never never take my kids to Nigeria. It is because of things like this that made me flee in the first place. A country where people are killed like flies for no reason.
ReplyDeleteSomething must be done. I wish I could channel some Xmen power or something to go make everything okay, to take back the hand of time and save those innocent boys. Chei God, this is too much to bare ooo!
Ladun please what is the plan what can we do to make sure justice is served in this case?
Ladun for days you folded your hands and refused to give update yet you state the whole country is watching , Africa is watching. Does that mean you have been sleeping since and giving us scrap instead. Ladun i love your homely feel of this blog but Girl please step up on the quality of stuff you post.
ReplyDeletenow back to the subject. I pounder where is the Nigeria that used to love one another, that used to protect their own. Back in the days, if this was Uni Ibadan, i am certain immediately students would have joined hands together and protect their own putting an end to it. The video just show the level of decay we have gotten to. People watched, took pictures , cheered. What happened to our HeEARTS, where did we leave it . Is there hope for the future. How long will senseless killing go on with no accountability, YESTERDAY IT WAS MUBI, THEN ALUU, WHAT TOMORROW ???...... There are so many unanswered questions with no one answering. Demostrations can lead to more death , so is that d way forward ???. I dont even know the way foward . I can only spread this msg i saw on facebook
BEFORE YOU TAKE A LIFE, VALUE A LIFE AND RESPECT TO THE GIVER OF LIFE
hmmm na wa ooo
ReplyDeleteVery lame attempt by d students. An avenue to display their ignorance and foolishness. Students in mubi were slaughtered. I guess their dearth does not warrant any demonstration? Cynthia was murdered people cried foul; wumi was murdered; people were quiet. Nonsense. Foolish nigerians.
ReplyDeleteGet up and fight for all types of injustice being metered out to u sheep. U all don't look serious.
Another June 16(olabisi onabanjo university) incident uprising ................abeg students should take am easy....we all feel the pain.....but pls don't let's support violence
ReplyDelete... And I tot Ago-Iwoye people where the d first born sons of the devil! This just takes the cake!!! I was actually present when that crisis took place fortunately, God shielded me from it all. However, my friends that were almost attacked were labelled cultist becoz of thr flambouyant lifestyle. Thank God for protecting them from the hands of those indigenes. I can relate to this story and I feel sorry for these boys becoz this was an act of pure hate
Delete****Mufasa Said
It's Sσ sad. May dia young souls continue 2 rest in peace
ReplyDeleteLADUN the truth is out o! The 5th guy that escaped the Aluu murder has given an account of what happened but wants to remain Anonymous for fear of his life. Here is what he said:
ReplyDeleteThe brutal murder of the Four students of the University of Port Harcourt has become a major source of worry to many Nigerians who feel that human lives have no value as far as the country is concerned.
Since the incident, many people have advocated for the immediate arrest of those behind the heinous act and possibly charge them if found guilty. While some have continued to advocate for death sentence, others advocate for life imprisonment.
However, Daily Post investigation reveals that none of the four murdered students was involved in robbery or any kind of pilfering. Our correspondent spoke with an anonymous colleague of the late Llyod and Ugo whom he said were aspiring musicians and his colleagues.
It was gathered from the source that Ugo and Lloyd were cousins. Someone was indebted to Ugo around the community and had vowed not to pay. Ugo who was popularly known as Tipsy had gone to meet with a fearless University guy (name-withheld) to help them track the debtor who had been on the run. The guy who was feared by many in the school had accepted to accompany his friends to get the debtor tracked down and get his own percentage of the money. They were joined by their room mate, Chidiaka. On their way to the place, they met one of their friends, Tekena, who knew nothing about the plan, and he joined, just for the hype as it’s normal with young boys of juvenile age.
They were actually 5 that got to the debtor’s compound. Unknown to the other four, the “Confra” guy who was contracted to intimidate the debtor just to get the money paid went with a gun .When they got to the guy’s house around 12am, fight ensued, as the debtor confronted them. A next door neighbour, a woman started shouting on top of her voice, that they were thieves, attracting other bad boys around the areas, whom they said were mainly “vickins”, rival cult group of the one on contract. They swung into action by tipping the vigilantee who confronted the boys, referring to them as thieves. At the process of beating the boys, and while they were trying to explain, the fifth ‘guy’,the cultist brought out his gun to scare the people, and he escaped, leaving the rest four at the mercy of the villagers.
The explanation they tried to give fell on the community’s deaf ears as the people insisted that they must be killed. Another close friend of Ugo and Lloyd had reacted by calling on the president to take action against those behind the murder of the four students. The young man who had pleaded that his identity be kept secret said: “Mr President those 4 boys who were killed at Aluu near Uniport were my young friends. I was their mentor. Two of them were promising rappers and singers. I am forwarding their work ironically titled “ain’t no love in the city”.
This story got to dailypost as an eyewitness account from the 5th boy who escaped. He narrated this to Ugo and Lloyd’s friend who has pleaded that his identity be kept secret.
I know I am going to get a lot of insult for this comment, but have to get it off my chest
ReplyDeleteThis barbaric nature is inbuilt in nigerians....I heard one of d boys have been buried....due to custom, since d body was badly beaten and burnt they buried him in d forest .....I knw its not in my place to question where a parent burys their child....but d forest ?. Why do we condemn one barbaric act and support another.
So you are now pleading for calm. You are scared for your Aluu people. Did you say "Let us take it easy"? You and who?
ReplyDeletePlease go and employ someone to be writing this your epistles for you. You write too terribly.
ReplyDeleteWere you expecting the parents of such good looking, always well dressed boys to look hungry?
Please shut up Ladun. The gruesome murder didn't pain you, it is the placard promising reprisal attack that is paining you
ReplyDeleteLadun... U really lack d use of words at sensitive moments like thiese...
ReplyDeleteThe not so funny thing is that it is the same crowd that called the boys thieves and killed them that are protesting. Is Aluu community not made up of human beings? Where there no students among those watching the boys being killed? Lets re-evaluate our values.
ReplyDeletePls 4 christ sake they should take things easy becos two wrongs can not make a right. Lets pray 4. Nigeria bt dat Aluu community is cursed for life. They will never know peace. Pls uniport take it easy so dat students wont loose their life.
ReplyDeletesaid- burying in the forest is their custom. read it up before you comment.
ReplyDeleteHaba just because you don't want to pay back a debt,u decided to kill a generation, even all the pple that were present in that scene &those that participated in the beating &burning were very stupid &wicked,so 4 hours,no one could call the police Yes,they are very right,Aluu-4&Uniport-0,that 1st half....it will soon be Uniport-100 & Aluu-4...pls go ahead guys.
ReplyDeletePeople are too dumb here ,always looking for a way to insult someone, what has Ladun written to be insulted, cant u people just grow up,must u always hate,if u dont like Ladu, then leave, haba
ReplyDeleteI watched d video in skul yesterday. It was worse dan terrible. Made me unable to sleep @ nyt. Go uniport! Solidly behind u guys jare
