Deputy Governor, Sworn in as Kaduna State Governor
Alhaji Mukhtar Yero was today, Dec.16th sworn-in as the new Governor of Kaduna State by the state Chief Judge. Yero replaced Gov. Patrick Yakowa who died in a helicopter crash yesterday in Bayelsa.
They haven't even buried the man yet?? Isn't it a bit too hasty? I'm feeling a lack of tact. May he rest in peace and May God be with his family during this difficult time.
Guess CPC re very happy. D 1st tym God gave us d privilege to rule in Kaduna as christians nd nw d evil ones hav done dia worst. God is not asleep nd I know He wil prove Himself faithful as always. God pls intervene. My heart hurts caus I lost an uncle in d crash too. May d find rest nd peace in God's bossom. Tips on weight loss Simja.top3weightlosssolutions.com
SMH...when was Jonathan sworn in as the President?..try and remember (he was sworn the morning before Yaradua'a body even left the state house)..it is constitutional and the right thing to do...RIP to the late governor.
I see no reason y pple wil celebrate n move about wi motor bike over d death of a leader wo haz been so nice to d pple of hiz state jus bcoz he is a christian. Death haz no friend. U may b d next victim, so get ready.
stop calling them hausa! in the north there are hausas, fulanis and so many others in between. just say northern muslims are wicked because they are the architects of destruction in Nigeria and I implore all of us to cry out to God every morning not to spare ANY wicked man/woman in Nigeria even if my papa or your mama dey among them.
As soon as I heard of the plane crash I felt as if something was strange about it. Nowadays, you can employ prayer warriors to fall a plane. They would just chant for hours until it happens. They would be no evidence.
Nigerians and their retrogressive mentality. Life moves on! So what if he was immediately sworn in? It happens all over the world. We don't live in a world of kings and queens where we will have wait 40 days for a new one. There is no urgency in replacing the queen of england if she dies but the PM gets replaced asap.
Just trying to spark fire in a wet grassland...Government is not like any other thing that can wait, a better way of understanding this is in a war scenario, when the leader dies, the next in line immediately takes the flag and the battle/war continues because the followers can not afford to have leadership vacuum. This is the case in present day Kaduna state. If we remember clearly, when Namadi was promoted to VP post, Yakowa was not sworn in immediately, this gave room for some people to try an manipulate this process which led to some loss of lives. Same mistake can not be repeated twice and this was a show of strength by the leaders of the state to quell possible unrest. I understand your call for compassion just that government has to be firm and seen to be in charge...... I do not usually comment on this blog as I just come here to pass time and get a glimpse of the line of thoughts of my fellow citizens. Ignorance is shown here on a daily basis but i always felt they could be overlooked but there comes a time your mind tells you "enough is enough" as in the case of this governor's death and the sort of ethno-religious issues that seem to be creeping up which i feel have to be nipped in the bud.
The cycle continues. The Nigerian constitution is broken down on wiki succinctly for those who want to read what the constitution says about replacing the dead.
wo people I am a christian and there is no conspiracy theory anywhere hes my family member and we have accepted the loss It was his time, pls remove it from your heads that any human is to blame, its his time to rest, hopefully he goes to a good place just pray to God to comfort his family may God judge every man according to his own works.
asper the swearing-in , its constitutional it happens everywhere it was not hasty. I know how it feels but we dont have to be sentimental here. God bless Kaduna people as we lay him to rest on Thursday.
Its really hard to cast bitterness aside, but it kills so its better thrown out of the window.
I like your comment, you are understandable person, everybody knows Late Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa (Dan Masanin Gwom) is a man of principle, a man who maintain the peaceful co-existence, a man who has good vision and mission to the people of Kaduna, a great leader we ever have since after Makarfi's Administration.
Oh! How Nigerians display their 'duhun kai.' ... We're first of all human beings b4 we can identify with any religion, sect, or cult... I do not see reason why Christians jubilated whn Yakowa (peace be unto his soul) won the election and nw the tables turn the other party runs the show... Goodluck won and Buhari lost... The same kind of mentaliity dat has and is bewitching the nation and causing the giant to be overtaken by ants. Nigeria needs to be BORN AGAIN... WE NEED TO EITHER GO BACK TO WHERE WE LOST THE AXE HEAD OR MOVE FORWARD AND GET A NEW ONE... A NEW RELIGION, A NEW WAY OF LIFE, A NEW WAY OF TREATING EACH OTHER, A NEW WAY OF MAKING MONEY AND SPENDING IT! ENOUGH OF CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM!! Baba Fela of blessed memory exclaimed that we neeed to take our minds out of any Gaddemn Church; out of any Gaddemn Mosque; and put our minds in this physical contraction (concentrate on our current realities). Islam is a religion of the Arabs (under Jewish influence) and Christianity is the Religion of the Whiteman under the same Jewish influence. We are Nigerians and should operate under our own originalities and not these borrowed sacramentum(s). These borrowed sacraments have further enslaved us rather than redeem us from the so called abolition of slavery of the 19th century and the pre-dated centuries. Nigeria has not known peace and civilization since the influx of these prejudiced systems... I say these prejuduced systems becauese the truth is that they are all products or consequences of some ethnic, tribal, or racial sentimental struggles... Chritianity arose because the Greatest Freedom Fighter of the World, Jesus Christ was persecuted by his own people... Islam arose because the Last Messenger of God was fighting to retsore True Worship... Hey! What is blinding these set of Nigerians, Good People, Good Nation, wise people who make all countries of the world stand at tension with their outsmarting and practical talents and intelligence... We have actully become Kobo-Wise and Naira-Foolish... To be continued
